A Coffee Break w/Councilman DanG

On his Facebook page, Dave Chamberlain discusses the Calypso coffee stop he made with Councilman Dan Gookin to discuss urban renewal and other things:

So coffee/tea was with Councilman Dan Gookin. I had challenged him on his anti- LCDC stance, and he gave me his reasons on the issues involved with LCDC that he was not happy with. Some I totally agree with. Am I not on his side totally.. not yet.. still got more research to do. But, we did discuss alternatives that I liked. It was more fun talking about what the City will be able to do after this election cycle. We will have a new mayor which will immediately affect the tone and reach of the city government. Dan is a very smart guy. Being pretty much the same age, we have a lot of the same background in technology and internet. It was really fun discussing some of my ideas on ways to improve information dispersion from the city. It was interesting to note that the mayor has been a roadblock on many attempts at technical improvement.

Thoughts?
