Local Home Burglars More Aggressive
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department has seen a large increase in daytime residential burglaries in the past month. Both the City and County statistics combined show over seventy (70) have occurred in this short time frame. This number does not include night time burglaries or auto burglaries. The method of entry is kicking of doors, or entering through doggie doors or windows. Suspect are taking jewelry, coins, laptops, guns, and anything else that is of value and easy to carry. As a reminder close and lock all dog doors not in use. Make sure you have a good dead bolt on your outside doors. Make sure windows are shut and locked when you leave the residence and also make sure you shut your garage door.
