Idaho GOP Sets First Caucus

Idaho is holding its first-ever presidential caucus — and the vote is early enough in the year to matter. Idaho’s 32 delegates will be decided in Republican caucuses in all 44 counties Tuesday night. The nine states voting with Idaho Tuesday are Georgia (which has 76 delegates), Ohio (66), Tennessee (58), Virginia (49), Oklahoma (43) and Massachusetts (41), North Dakota (28), Alaska (27) and Vermont (17). ... Caucuses begin promptly at 7 p.m. ... Caucusing will take a while. In the voting, the lowest vote-getter and any candidate under 15 percent will be eliminated until one candidate wins a majority at each of 44 county caucuses. Winner-take-all: Those county results are tabulated at the state level. If any candidate tops 50 percent statewide, all 32 Idaho delegates will be bound to vote for that candidate on the first ballot at the Republican National Convention in August/Idaho Statesman. More here.

Question (for those who have taken part in a caucus before): Do you have any insights you'd like to provide for those who haven't taken part in a caucus before?
