Deanna: Paperless And Back Again

Councilwoman Deanna Goodlander (re: Kootenai County going paperless): The City Council went paperless several years ago with the exception of Ron Edinger. Obviously the goal was to save both time and money. time is money when you consider the staff time involved in putting together the book of information for each meeting, as well as the supplies. After the last election both Dan Gookin and Steve Adams prefered not to use the city supplied laptops and reverted back to the old way of doing things with paper copies of all the agenda items. Steve works off an agenda only, but Dan has a pile of papers at each meeting that are supplied by Staff. At present only Mike Kennedy, Woody McEvers and myself use the laptops.

Thoughts?
