John Goedde, R-Coeur d'Alene, the Senate Education Committee chairman, is the most powerful North Idaho state senator. 37 of 115 respondents (32.2%) felt the honors should go to Sen. Shawn Keough, R-Sandpoint, JFAC vice chairman. Sen. Jim Hammond, R-Post Falls, finished third w/15 of 115 votes (13%) Senator-elect Steve Vick, R-Hayden, got 11 votes (9.6%), and Joyce Broadsword, R-Sagle, got 3 votes (2.6%)
