Sports Agate Clerk Hits, Runs Off

Show of hands: How many people actually pore through the fine print of the daily paper's sports page? Do you scrutinize every box score? Do you analyze every minor-league trade?  We didn't think so. And Cody Moore, a former part-time agate clerk at the Spokesman-Review must not have thought so, either, because on his last day of work yesterday (he's going back to college), he snuck a gem into said fine print. Check out what the Kalamazoo Kings are up to (right). Whether Moore was thumbing his nose at management, winking at fellow details-oriented sports nuts or just having a "Brooks was here" moment, we don't know. But it's the most exciting thing that's happened in the sports pages in eons/Joel Smith, Pacific Northwest Inlander. More here.

Question: How much value would you bring in a trade, if your company could swap you for someone or something else?
