Ten years ago today, I went on my first date with PapaJD. We had met in a murder-for-hire trial he was prosecuting a month earlier. I was a goner the minute he stepped in front of the jury box for voir dire. It took him a little longer. He first needed to send in another prosecutor to be a wingman.
