News Release: Lauper Promoted to Deputy Chief
Glenn Lauper, who started his career with the Coeur d'Alene Fire Department as a volunteer in 1979 before moving to full-time in 1982, has been promoted to deputy fire chief, effective Oct. 2. From 1982 until 1990, he worked as a firefighter before being hired by the stateas a deputy fire marshal. He returned to the local department as a fire inspector in 2003. He served in that position until this May when he became Interim Deputy Fire Chief.
