Huckleberries Online has just heard that Jim Brannon of Habitat for Humanity will run against incumbent Al Hassell for a Coeur d'Alene City Council seat. Dunno if Brannon is part of the ticket with Dan Gookin and possibly Suzie Snedaker. Joe Kunka, who ran against Sandi Bloem for mayor two years ago, has filed today against Snedaker for the open seat now held by Dixie Reid. The council races are coming into focus for this fall's election. There's still one more announcement I'm expecting this afternoon. Also, I've heard that anti-property tax avocate Sharon Culbreth might file. Stay tuned.
