RV MVP alert: We love our space heater

When it comes to winter camping in your RV, a space heater is your next best friend.

We've got no complaints when it comes to our propane-powered heating system in the rig, but it definitely benefits from the boost of an additional heat source. Because our tiny home on wheels is truly tiny -- 23 feet -- we wanted something small.

Last year, I stumbled onto the perfect solution when I was shopping for something else entirely. The Soleil Electric Ceramic Portable Heater is about the size of a box of Kleenex, but it puts out a steady stream of warm air. It was just $20 at Ace Hardware.

It keeps our "living room" pretty toasty. Sometimes, we even leave it on overnight, which is far preferable to having the big heater clicking on in the middle of the night.

Only hitch? You've got to be plugged into a power source for that puppy to run. Usually that's not a problem.
