RV Park Review: Brookhollow is a convenient refuge

You don’t think of the towns of Longview and Kelso, Wash., as a tourist destination.

But if you find yourself in Southwest Washington on the way to the coast  -- as we were -- the Brookhollow RV resort is a nice place to overnight.

Brookhollow is well run, with clean facilities and spacious sites. It offers usable wifi, and its parklike setting is a few miles off Interstate 5, so it’s quiet and comfortable.

Showers and laundry are excellent. Brookhollow even offers recycling, which is something you don’t see at most RV resorts.

You’ll find a few fitness extras. A four-mile recreation trail travels past the RV resort along the Coweeman River, offering access to Kelso’s Tam O’Shanter Park, and visitors can access a fitness room on site.

Full hookups cost $53, with $5 discounts for Good Sam members.
