SPS offers online enrollment for choice schools
Spokane Public Schools is for the first time ever offering online enrollment for all students who want to attend a school outside their neighborhood.
Families can research the schools and program options then apply for their top choices, ranking their choices by preference.
Spokane Public Schools Superintendent Shelley Redinger has been clear since her start in 2012 about giving families more educational options. "More choices mean we are better able to support learning needs," said district spokesman Kevin Morrison.
Open enrollment continues until Feb. 13: https://enroll.spokaneschools.org/enrollment
A School Choice Enrollment Fair also will be held 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 24 at the Libby Center, 2900 E. 1st Ave., where families can talk with teachers and students from various district schools.
