Ryann Simmons points out the concave area on the head of the dog his girlfriend is fostering Tuesday at their home in Moses Lake. The dog, Theia, was a stray found injured, and a well-meaning person tried to "euthanize" the animal with a blow from a hammer, then buried the dog. The dog found its way out and now needs surgery. Miracle dog is thriving 

A dog beaten and buried alive is being released from State University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital after more surgeries. This time, it was an operation to surgically repair her sinuses.
