For those of us who have pledged the Pound for Pound Challenge, don't forget to keep working on that weight loss program. The final reporting date is May 5, so we're on the final stretch. And remember that every pound counts- even one pound lost can make a difference for a family in need.
With the arrival (finally) of spring, losing weight has suddenly become manageable. The warm weather has me out of the house more, moving and grooving more, and feeling better. I've discovered a great route near my house that covers about three miles and includes a beautiful little lake-side park. Those first few days were a bit difficult, but now I feel sluggish if I don't do the loop at least once. And with finals coming, it's a great study break de-stressor.
If you've been able to keep up with your winter gym routine, stick with it. But think about adding an occasional walk in the sun- it's good for your body and your mind. Find yourself some real estate with a view and get out there. Walking in the fresh air is invigorating, and those pounds are just starting to melt off.
If you have reached your goal, you can go on-line now to report your final results. And if you haven't pledged yet, it's not too late.
Visit http://pfpchallenge.com/ to sign up, report your results (just total pounds lost- not how much you weigh!), and get menus and inspiration to help you shed those last few pounds. Summer is just around the corner, so let's get in shape and help feed America at the same time!
