Another Green Monday: Spokane City Councilman Jon Snyder covers historic preservation and transportation on Council Connection

Have you ever heard of Council Connection? It's a monthly cable television program featuring Spokane City Council members as hosts.  Even though the October edition aired live last week, you can watch it online and it's definitely worth checking out.

For the first half hour, Council Member Jon Snyder discussed the “Power of Preservation” with local developer and preservationist Ron Wells and Paul Mann, who serve on the boards of the Spokane Preservation Advocates as well as the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The National Trust is holding its 2012 annual conference in Spokane running October 31st - November 3rd. (More on the conference later this week.)

For the second half hour, the topic is“Your Tax Dollars at Work: Photo Red Traffic Calming Program and the Transportation Benefit District” with guest Kitty Klitzke, Eastern Washington Program Director for Futurewise.

“Council Connection” is shown live on the first Wednesday of the month and is replayed throughout the month. CityCable 5 is the City of Spokane’s government-access cable station; it’s found on channel 5 on the Comcast cable system in Spokane. “Council Connection” programs also can be found on the City’s website and click on “City Council Connection” to reach the archived programs.
