Image of the Day - Los Angeles
Not the typical view you're used to seeing huh?
It took us a bit to wrap our minds around it too. But it comes from a fantastic article in the most recent issue of Sierra, the Sierra Club's monthly publication. The article titled, "Above the City of Angels", is about recreating in LA's backyard, the San Gabriel Mountains. As you can imagine, not your typical nature experience. Evidence of gang violence and affiliation, drug operations and probably more garbage than any natural area are what you see initially, but at the end of the day, this is where many Angelenos learn to love nature and that's all that matters.
