Down To Earth

Friday Quote II

So, a guy from Spokane spends two weeks in Louisiana poking his nose around and filming, and if he knows more than the President of the United States about what’s really happening down here on the beaches, in the marshes, if the administration doesn’t have what I have learned in two weeks, then we are in big trouble. We are screwed.” Marc Gauthier as told by DTE columnist Paul Haeder in the *latest (see comments below ) installment of "Dispatches from a Disaster

We sincerely hope you enjoyed following Marc's exploits in the Gulf and hearing about them by the wonderful Paul Haeder.  If you  tuned in late to Dispatches from a Disaster or this is the first you've heard about it, it's not too late to go back and catch up.  Head on over the special Dispatches from a Disaster section for all of the storie and photos.

Unfortunately this story isn't going away anytime fast and even if there was progress to report on we still wouldn't want it to go away.  There needs to be culpability, repercussions and an entire paradigm shift.  If the Gulf of Mexico dies will anybody hear it?
