Down To Earth

Sunday Funnies

Because today is a fun day - here are some photos to start it off right.

Thanks to our friends on Google Reader for sharing these - we wouldn't have found them without you.

The first photo comes from a very funny blog called "Unhappy Hipsters".  The caption on the site reads, "Sure she was watering a street tree during a statewide drought. But the gate was made of recycled street signs. Carbon footprint: neutral."

This next one is pretty interesting.  We had to dig around on Wikipedia a little bit to find the back story, but talk about scare tactics.  This makes some of the post 9-11 scare tactic propaganda look like something you'd see on Sesame Street.  During WWII, Americans were urged to conserve gasoline (and most other consumer goods) in support of the War Effort. To ride alone was wasteful, and therefore it aided the enemy.
