Down To Earth

Another Green Monday

The markets are coming!  Nothing like a warm and sunny weekend to get us thinking about local farmers' markets.  Spokane's Saturday downtown farmers market opened a few weekends ago, and Liberty Lake's last weekend, but there are still a few yet to open.  For that information, as well as everything else local, gardening, and green - check out A Year of Plenty HERE.

Janine Benyus - World Changing.  Of all the presentations, speakers, and performances of Bioneers 2008, Janine Benyus' presentation on biomimicry stands out.  Upon full disclosure, we had no idea what biomimicry was until we saw Benyus' satelite presentation, but now we can't get enough of it.  Partly because we've spent the better part of six months geeking out on science, and the other part because we see the potential of bettering our environment by drawing upon what has worked in the natural environment for millions of years.  If you're like us, you missed Benyus at the Living Future unconference in Portland last week, but luckily a good friend of DTE's Sarah Kuck, formerly of seatlteDIRT and now of World Changing didn't and she has a great interview with Benyus on World Changing - check it out HERE.
