The following video is an incredible presentation by Charles Moore of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation - a presentation he recently delivered at the TED University 2009 titled, "Sailing the Great Pacific Garbage Patch."  It's a sickening look at the endless floating waste of plastic trash in the Pacific Ocean.  Sort of makes us wish they never invented plastic.

You'll also notice that Moore references Seattle artist Chris Jordan whose work on American consumerism DTE has been geeking out on for some time. Jordan also presented at TED. Watch that video after the jump.
