Down To Earth

Friday Quote - David Suzuki edition

"I don't stay optimistic or pessimistic; I just have hope. We're going down a very dangerous path and I believe we now have a very narrow window. This is the time to act and if we don't act in the next few years, we're toast. I'm at the end of my life; I have more than I need of everything. Whatever happens now is not going to affect me, but it's going to affect my grandchildren. I've got to do everything I can to make sure that my grandchildren don't say to me, "Grandpa, you could have done more."- Dr. David Suzuki.

Don't forget that tonight is the David Suzuki Mini Sustain It Film Festival.

The Magic Lantern Theater will be showing the following documentaries from David Suzuki's The Sacred Balance Series: Journey into New Worlds, The Matrix of Life, The Fire of Creation, and Coming Home.  In addition, Build Green, a show that looks at Canada's green construction will be shown. This David Suzuki Mini-Sustain It Film Festival will begin at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free with a donation of food.  All of April we are celebrating our relationship with the Earth as we work towards a sustainable future, and this is great opportunity to explore this relationship in greater detail.
