Introducing Earth Day Spokane 2009 + Volunteers needed

Earth Week Spokane 2009

Earth Day 2009 Spokane-style culminates a week of earth-loving and earth-respecting activities in our Spokane region.  Meet your neighbors Sunday, April 26, at Riverfront Park, from noon to five. What you will gain by coming to this year's event will make this 39th Earth Day memorable: music, poetry, films, kids' fun, demonstrations, booths and information from local and regional earth activists, and quick comments from some of Spokane's earth-loving members of our diverse community.  Fun is the operative word here for this year's Earth Day.
What makes this year's Earth Day 2009 special is the national kick-off of the Green Generation movement which is propelling youth to lead the way toward a country and society bent on sustainable consumption and living; renewable energy; and equity for all of earth's species. This year's co-sponsors include Earth Works Recycling, PacifiCAD, Avista, The Spokesman-Review, Community Building Foundation, Inland Empire Paper Company, Lands Council, and Down to Earth Northwest. KYRS Thin Air Radio will be on hand for live remote broadcast and interviews.

Visit www.earthdayspokane.org for more information, and for a full calendar of events leading up the Earth Day Spokane event in Riverfront Park on Sunday the 26th.
Join us for great music and family fun at Riverfront Park, near Post Street, April 26, noon to 5 p.m.

Volunteers are needed to help see this event a success - if you are interested, please contact Bryan Bussard @ bryanmbussard@gmail.com
