The co-chairs of the Legislature’s Economic Outlook & Revenue Assessment Committee, which held hearings on Idaho’s economy and heard testimony from economists, industry representatives and others about its prospects, presented its revenue estimate to JFAC this morning, and the joint budget committee voted unanimously to accept the report. It matches Gov. Butch Otter’s projection, projecting 5.3 percent growth in state general fund receipts for the current year, fiscal year 2018, and a matching 5.3 percent for the coming year, fiscal year 2019.

Fiscal year 2019 is the year for which lawmakers are setting the state budget during this year’s legislative session.

The EORAC co-chairs are Rep. Rick Youngblood, R-Nampa, and Sen. Fred Martin, R-Boise – who also are the House and Senate vice-chairs of JFAC.
