Here’s a link to my full story at spokesman.com on four bills dealing with gun rights or gun safety – not gun control – that were debated in the Idaho Legislature today. The bills include HB 565, Rep. Heather Scott’s bill to allow retired law enforcement officers to carry concealed guns in schools; SB 1333, Sen. Todd Lakey’s “stand your ground” bill; HB 444, Rep. Christy Zito’s “stand your ground” bill; and HB 433, Rep. Ron Nate’s bill to encourage Idaho schools to offer optional gun-safety classes.
