Risch named to presidential delegation to closing ceremonies of Olympics

Idaho Sen. Jim Risch announced today that he’s been named an official member of the presidential delegation to the Republic of Korea for the closing ceremony of the Olympics in PyeongChang by the Trump Administration. “I know all Idahoans will join me in appreciating what a great honor this is for our state," Risch said in a statement. “The participation of our athletes in these international events has made our nation proud and it will be a real privilege to participate in the ceremonies closing these 23rd Olympic Games. I also look forward to engaging with other national leaders in PyeongChang.”

Risch’s statement also included this quote from Ivanka Trump: “It is an honor to have Sen. Risch join our Presidential Delegation to the Winter Olympics in the Republic of Korea. He is a leading voice in foreign policy, and a wonderful addition to the group. I look forward to a great trip together, as we celebrate the strength, spirit, and soul of our American athletes.”
