Federal court sponsors civics contest for Idaho high school students, invites entries

High school students are being invited to compete for cash prizes while learning about constitutional conflicts in a civics contest sponsored by the U.S. District Court in Idaho and the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. The theme of the essay and video competition, which is open to students in grades 9-12, is, “Not to Be Forgotten: Legal Lessons of the Japanese Internment.” Idaho students will compete for cash prizes of up to $1,000, and the chance to go on to compete in the 9th Circuit contest, with prizes of up to $2,000.
