Sen. Schmidt urges ‘no’ vote on HJR 5
Sen. Dan Schmidt, D-Moscow, who cast the only “no” vote in the Senate this year against HJR 5, the administrative rules constitutional amendment that’s on the November ballot, has penned an op-ed article urging voters to reject the measure; there were also three “no” votes in the House. “It would shift the balance toward an already arrogant legislature,” Schmidt writes. “Balance is healthy and should be maintained.” You can read his full article here.
