Legislators, Ed Board seek public input through survey on Idaho school funding
Idaho’s state Board of Education and the Legislature’s interim committee that’s studying possible updates to the public school funding formula have launched an online public opinion survey to gather public input on how Idaho schools are funded. The interim committee’s co-chairs, Rep. Wendy Horman, R-Idaho Falls, and Sen. Chuck Winder, R-Boise, said in a joint statement, “An important part of our work is to learn what Idahoans think about the way we currently fund our public schools and see where they believe we can make improvements. It is critical for us to hear from Idaho citizens throughout the state if we are to make effective and lasting improvements in how we fund Idaho schools.”
The survey is anonymous; it’s online here. It’ll be open for two weeks; its results will be reported back to the interim committee.
