Rep. Redman outraises primary opponent
Rep. Eric Redman, R-Athol, has filed his campaign finance report, and it shows he’s raised more than four times as much for his re-election campaign as his GOP primary challenger, Alan Littlejohn. However, though Redman reported receiving $10,550 in contributions between Jan. 1 and May 1, he reported spending only $2,700, mostly for advertising and consulting. His biggest contributions were $1,000 each from PhRMA in Washington, D.C.; Winning for Idaho PAC, a Boise-based PAC that represents the owners of the Greyhound Park Event Center and backs “instant racing” machines at Idaho race tracks, which lawmakers have banned; the Committee to Re-Elect Rep. Fred Wood, R-Burley; and Lois J. Hanson of Sandpoint.
Redman received a total of 22 contributions, including $500 from Idaho Power Co., $500 from the Idaho Association of Realtors, $250 from Idaho Chooses Life and $250 from Roman Insurance Group of Athol.
