Legislative limerick No. 8: What will the reps do?

Now, the question becomes: What will the House do? Will they concur with the Senate amendments to HB 644, the health care bill? Rep. John VanderWoude, R-Meridian, the bill's sponsor, said he, for one, won't. "They changed my bill to something totally different than what it was," he said. House Health & Welfare Chairman Fred Wood, R-Burley, said, "It'll be debated, and how that's going to come out I have no idea. We'll have to wait and see."

House Speaker Scott Bedke said, "Eventually we'll be forced to act on it, one way or the other." Asked when, he said, "It'll either happen today or tomorrow."

Given that, another limerick:

So, will House members concur?

Hatreds of feds they’ll aver

With senators wanting

What some reps find daunting

That chamber is now quite astir.
