House State Affairs turns to anti-Sharia law bill…
Having used up nearly all its hearing time today on the concealed-carry gun bill, the House State Affairs Committee is now taking up HB 568, Rep. Eric Redman’s proposal to ban Idaho courts from considering foreign or Sharia laws in making any decisions. Redman presented an opinion from an out-of-state attorney saying the bill wouldn’t affect foreign adoptions, though Idaho parents of children adopted from foreign countries have raised major concerns about the bill, based on an Idaho Attorney General’s analysis.
“It’s a good law. I urge your moving it to the House,” Redman told the committee.
