Analysis finds mixed results from first year of new Idaho teacher career ladder

Idaho Education News crunched the numbers after the first year of Idaho’s new teacher “career ladder,” which phases in performance-based pay improvements for Idaho teachers over five years. The results? Idaho’s average teacher salary went up 2.1 percent under the first year of the program, to $45,117. But the numbers varied widely by school district, and the average salary actually dropped in 32 districts. The full EdNews report is online here.
