Gov. Butch Otter is addressing the luncheon session of the Idaho GOP state convention today, and he said Idaho is faring better than other states that have taken big economic hits due to changing oil prices. “Our economy is broad, our economy is well-diversified,” he said, and has become moreso in the past 10 years.

Otter told the GOP crowd that he voted for John Kasich for president, but it’s time to come together for presumptive nominee Donald Trump, because “Trump will tower over Hillary.”

If Hillary Clinton were elected, he said, “Our cultures, our values that we have in Idaho … are at risk.”

Introducing all of Idaho’s other statewide elected officials, amid applause, Otter said, “Folks, come together with us. … Let’s work together.”
