Otter tells ISBA he’s launching a new campaign - to complete ed task force recommendations
Gov. Butch Otter told the Idaho School Boards Association’s annual convention in Coeur d’Alene last night that he was starting another campaign - not for another term as governor, but to “campaign for the completion” of the 20 recommendations of his education improvement task force. “We are following those to the letter,” said Otter, asking for support from board members. “We must improve our education system in Idaho.” Idaho Education News has a full report here.
The ISBA confab has drawn more than 500 board members, superintendents, education leaders and guests to the Coeur d’Alene Resort, an all-time attendance record for the group. The convention runs through Friday; that’s the day the group will vote on a series of resolutions.
