Senate convenes, receives bill, Senate Judiciary to meet in ‘3 minutes time’
The Senate has convened and received HB 1, the child support enforcement bill, from the House, given it its first reading, and sent it straight to the Senate Judiciary Committee. That committee's chair, Sen. Patti Anne Lodge, R-Huston, announced that her committee would meet in its regular committee meeting room, WW 54, in "three minutes' time." Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis, R-Idaho Falls, said the Senate will reconvene 10 minutes after the committee adjourns.
