Agendas posted for House Ways & Means at 9 a.m. Monday, joint judiciary hearing at 9:30

The agenda has been posted for Monday’s joint House Senate judiciary committees hearing on the child support enforcement bill, which for Monday’s special session of the Idaho Legislature, will be designated HB 1. You can see the agenda and draft bill here; state Health & Welfare Director Dick Armstrong is scheduled to present the bill to the committees, in a hearing starting at 9:30 in the Lincoln Auditorium. Those wishing to testify can start signing up at 8 a.m.

Also posted now is an agenda for a 9 a.m. meeting of the House Ways & Means Committee for the purpose of introducing the bill. That panel will meet in room C310 of the Capitol, which is the JFAC hearing room on the third floor. The process of introducing a bill generally is a quick one, with no public testimony, just comments from the sponsor and questions from the lawmakers on the panel; public testimony is reserved for the full committee hearing.
