Luna to end four-year run as Admin chief
Here’s a link to my full story at spokesman.com on today’s news that Teresa Luna, director of the Idaho Department of Administration and a central figure in the scandal over Idaho’s failed statewide school broadband network, will resign at the end of this year’s Idaho legislative session. Gov. Butch Otter made the announcement today after inquiries from Idaho Public TV reporter Melissa Davlin about why two of his top cabinet officials – Luna and Idaho State Police Director Col. Ralph Powell – hadn’t yet been submitted to the Senate for reappointment for Otter’s third term; he had no comment on Powell.
Otter named Luna director in 2011; prior to that, she was chief of staff to former Director Mike Gwartney and then interim director. She previously worked for the Idaho state controller’s office for four years.
