Ten Republicans vote against ‘Friends of NRA’ specialty plate bill as it squeaks thru Senate today

Here’s a link to my full story at spokesman.com on how the bill to create a specialty license plate to benefit “Friends of the NRA” barely squeaked through the Idaho Senate today on an 18-15 vote. Ten Republicans and five Democrats voted against the bill in the Senate, which earlier passed the House, 61-8. It’s now up to Gov. Butch Otter whether to sign the bill into law or veto it.

The 10 Republicans voting “no” today were Sens. Bair, Den Hartog, Hill, Johnson, Lee, Martin, McKenzie, Mortimer, Siddoway and  Thayn.
