Otter appoints VanderVelde to 3rd District judgeship in Nampa
Nampa attorney Davis VanderVelde was appointed a 3rd District judge today by Gov. Butch Otter; he fills the vacancy that was created when Judge Molly Huskey was appointed to the Idaho Court of Appeals. VanderVelde is a University of Nevada-Las Vegas graduate who holds a law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego; he moved to Nampa in 2006 and began practicing law there. His current practice focuses on business and family law.
Otter said in a statement, “Davis has the right judicial temperament and demeanor to work effectively on the 3rd District bench. He is a devoted member of the Bar who understands the positive impact that a responsible, objective jurist can have on our citizens and communities.”
