Statesman publisher heads to Florida
Here’s a news item from the Associated Press: BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Statesman Publisher Mike Jung is leaving to become president and publisher of The News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla. The Idaho Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/1IzzZNT) in a story on Monday that Jung's last day is Aug. 21. Jung started working for McClatchy Co. and the Idaho Statesman in 2011. Jung previously worked for 10 years in advertising at Florida Today in Melbourne, Fla. The News-Press and Florida Today are both owned by Gannett. McClatchy Vice President of Operations Mark Zieman says a search for Jung's replacement has started.
