House adjourns, Senate recesses after morning flurry of action, with more on tap for p.m….

The Senate has recessed to 4:30 p.m., and the House has adjourned for the day, after a flurry of legislative action in both houses this morning. This afternoon's agendas include numerous bills to be considered in both House and Senate committees; those include the other animal cruelty bill, SB 1303, which is up in House Ag this afternoon; the continuation of the hearing in the Senate Resources Committee on HB 495, the bill to limit the state endowment's business investments; a House Ways & Means Committee meeting at 1:15 p.m.; and consideration of the Senate-passed bill to allow use of GARVEE bonding for bridges in House Transportation at 1:30.
