Wind moratorium moved to bottom of calendar, House takes up concussion bill

House Majority Leader Mike Moyle, R-Star, has asked to move the moratorium on new wind farm development, HB 561, to the bottom of the calendar due to the absence of the floor sponsor, Rep. Erik Simpson, R-Idaho Falls. Consideration of the measure in the House has been repeatedly delayed.

Then, Moyle gave start of the the opening debate on HB 632, the youth athlete concussion bill. He first offered a disclosure: "I had a son who received a concussion," he said. Rep. Eric Anderson, R-Priest Lake, is giving the rest of the opening debate. He noted that in his district, one young athlete this year was seriously hurt and ended up on a ventilator after suffering a concussion. "He still improving but has a long ways to go," Anderson said.
