I wasn't there on Thursday, but everyone I've talked to who skied at Bogus Basin says it was the best day of the season - a long-awaited true midwinter powder day, complete with bottomless, light powder and face shots. Fast-forward to Sunday, when I was there, and spring suddenly struck - on a gorgeous blue-sky day with fabulous spring skiing conditions. Bogus Basin skiers were down to T-shirts and even an occasional tank top as they carved up the firm morning groomers and awesome afternoon slush. The road was running like a river as we drove down at the end of the day; there was an awful lot of melting going on. Today's forecast for Boise is a high of 67 degrees.

Tomorrow's forecast? Snow and rain.
