This is so much better than a shampoo experience

Casey, a longtime friend, introduced me to one of her favorite spots last week – Herbal Essence Café – and I’m thinking today would be a fantastic day to pop in and make sure my first perfect visit wasn’t a fluke.

Their impressive menu boasts a great lunch special, Half Salad & Soup for $7.50 (or $8.50 if for a couple of their meatier salads). Casey and I each ordered the Gorgonzola Chicken Salad – a spring mix tossed in Gorgonzola cheese, chicken, bacon, tomatoes and bacon dressing (that’s double bacon for those of you keeping score at home). She went with the Tomato Basil which smelled like heaven even though I foster an irrational fear of most things tomato, and I ordered the Chicken & Rice, which was creamy, cheesy and garlic-y. Let’s not forget the chewy, soft, delish bread stick … they’re available upon request, and, seriously, request one!hErbal soup and salad

The space is one of those ideal mixtures of cozy cheer, so no matter the weather outside you’ll feel relaxed and comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. Service is quick and unobtrusive and did I mention the breadsticks?

herbal inside Casey assures me their dinners are equally divine, although completely different from their lunch plates. Huckleberry Top Sirloin, anyone?

Daily specials are posted on their website. Click here to check out today's specials.
