On Tap

A day for IPA

Today’s national IPA Day might seem a bit redundant on top of April’s National Beer Day, considering that the popular, hoppy style accounts for more than one-quarter of craft sales.

Local brewers aren’t exactly pulling out the stops to celebrate, but there are a few specials on tap:

– Twelve String is pouring six house IPAs – Jam Session, C#7#5, Electric Slide imperial, Batch 201 (regular and cask-conditioned) and a new, experimental offering featuring hop extract along with regular Centennial, Cascade and Galena – with $1 off pints, and $10 growler fills ($12 for the Slide).

– Also in the Spokane Valley, Hopped Up has $10 growler fills and $12 pitchers of its Everyday and heartier Mad Hopper IPAs. You also can get them French pressed through homegrown hops ($10 for two pints worth).

– Perry Street is discounting pints of its regular and double IPAs by $1, and also tapping the last bit of its specialty Kumquat Single Malt IPA.

– And in Sandpoint, IPA specialist Laughing Dog is serving $4 pints of all its assorted varieties.
