Bio: Transfer from Eastern Washington University. Former walk-on at Eastern Washington. Earned Big Sky MVP honors in his junior season at EWU. Averaged 16.7 points per game on 45.6 percent shooting in his sophomore season. Shot 43.4 percent from the 3-point line and earned Second-Team All-Big Sky honors in 2020-21. Scored 27 points against Washington State in 2022-23. Earned unanimous First Team All-Big Sky honors, averaged 15.3 points, shot 45.7 percent from the field, including 37.1 percent from 3-point range in his junior season. Ranked 3rd in 3-pointers made and 9th in field goal percentage in the Big Sky conference. Led the Eagles in scoring, free-throw attempts and steals in his junior season. As a sophomore at Eastern, Venters played and started in 33 games. He finished the 2021-22 season ranked 67th in the nation in free throw percentage (84.7%). Scored 550 total points as a sophomore. Jr Scouting report: A high-volume scorer, Venters is expected to be a 3-point shooting threat. Will most likely play at the shooting guard and small forward positions alongside Nolan Hickman and Ryan Nembhard. He is expected become more of a catch-and-shoot wing but can make plays on his own when necessary.
