Bio: Larsen has been slowed in the past by knee injuries but excelled when healthy. Picked Gonzaga over Marquette and Maryland. Part of five-member recruiting class ranked 13th by 247sports.com and 23rd by ESPN.com. GU Dean's list honoree for fall semester. Averaged 16.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists at the 2015 Adidas Next Generation tournament. Named MVP at the FIBA 2013 U-16 Division B European championships, scoring 24 points and grabbing 16 rebounds to lead Denmark to the title. Selected to play in the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders at All-Star Weekend in Feb., 2015.
Fr Scouting report: Denmark native is the tallest player on the roster and has earned limited minutes as backup center behind Johnathan Williams. Great size, wingspan and potential but needs time to develop after two-year layoff. Averaging 10.2 minutes and has played in every one of GU’s first 24 games. Shooting 67 percent and averaging 4 points and 3.4 rebounds with 15 blocks. Season-high 14 points in rout over Incarnate Word. Has reached double figures three times and grabbed 10 boards against Portland on Jan. 11. Contributed 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting in exhibition win over College of Idaho, his first game action in two years.
