Rathdrum 18-year-old dead after two-car crash near Twin Lakes

One person died and three people were hospitalized after a two-car crash Saturday afternoon near Twin Lakes, Idaho, according to Idaho State Police.

Tytus W. Aske, 18, of Spirit Lake, Idaho was traveling south on State Highway 41 when he lost control of his sedan, slid broadside in the northbound lanes and collided with a truck driven by Ronnie L. Vaughn, 68, of Priest River, according to ISP.

Aske’s passenger, Andrew S. Lucas, 18, of Rathdrum was pronounced deceased at the scene, ISP said.

Vaughn; Vaughn’s passenger, Debra A. Vaughn, 65, of Priest River; and Aske were transported to Kootenai Health for treatment. They were all wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to ISP.
