Sophie Hausmann completes Idaho golfing career with solid round at NCAA Regional

CLE ELUM, Wash. – Sophie Hausmann completed her successful Idaho golfing career Wednesday with a bounce-back round during an NCAA Regional at Tumble Creek Golf Club.

Hausmann shot a 1-over-par 73 to complete three rounds at 10-over 226, tying for 57th place. Hausmann opened Monday’s play with a 73 before slipping to an 80 on Tuesday.

Hausmann was named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, becoming the fourth player in conference history to repeat the honor.

USC’s Jennifer Chang earned medalist honors, finishing at 11-under 205 for a one-shot edge on Washington’s Rino Sasaki and Central Florida’s Ana Laura Collardo.

USC won the team title at 844, 15 shots ahead of Washington. The top six teams advance to the NCAA Championships.
