Andrew Ryan smiled Sunday as he held a Hoopfest championship trophy in one hand and box of new head phones in the other.

“These look great,” said Ryan, a former guard at NCAA Division I Campbell University in North Carolina.

Just the latest prize for Ryan, his sister Brianne Ryan and cousins Matt and Mike Dorr and their regular Hoopfest team, Bamm.

Bamm became the third elite-level team to four-peat at Hoopfest after downing Heathers Cowboys 20-13 in the coed championship round.

Former Eastern Washington star Brianne Ryan, the 2012 Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player, didn’t leave the court all tournament.

She was matched up Sunday with sharpshooter Heather Ezell, a former Iowa State star who is now associate head coach at Wyoming.

Heathers Cowboys, which also featured Jerron Granberry (Wyoming), Bobby Gosney (CCS) and Travis Brown (EWU), jumped out to a four-point lead that was quickly erased.

“It’s great, you couldn’t ask for anything better,” Brianne Ryan said of her latest Hoopfest title. “Our entire family is full of basketball players. We’ll be looking to do the same thing again next year.”

The Dorr brothers starred at Mt. Spokane before playing in college, Matt at San Diego and Mike at CCS and Carroll College.

“We don’t have a choice whether to keep playing in this or not, we have to keep playing,” joked Brianne.
